Announcing Android Development

05.08.2010

In 2010, Bliss Technology, sister company to The Bliss Agency in Bristol, Virginia, is embarking on Research and Development in the area of development on the mobile platform, Android. Initial products will be targeted towards the most current version of Android, 2.0 and beyond, but a successful concept will be developed to encompass larger markets including iPhone and Android 1.5-1.6 systems, and the Blackberry.

In the last month, there have been significant developments regarding Android, reminiscent of the explosion of the web browser itself at the beginning stages of the internet, including the Droid phone on Verizon, the Google Nexus One phone, the Dell Android Tablet, and five new Android devices in the first half of 2010 on the AT&T network.

With the acceleration of Android platforms to join the already large number of smartphones in the hands of people today, it seems clear that advanced mobile devices with runtime applications as a mass market delivery mechanism outside of the web browser system is one of the biggest new developments in technology today.

Google provides extensive training, testing kits, and a thriving community of which now Bliss is a part.
